Sodium polyacrylate 92% is a superabsorbent polymer (SAP) that can absorb hundreds of times its own weight in water (≥200 g/g in distilled water, ≥45 g/g in 0.9% NaCl). Available in hygiene, agriculture and industrial grades, it is used in diaper and sanitary absorbent cores, soil water-retaining agents, and industrial absorbent products such as cable waterproofing and cold-chain gels. The product is not classified as hazardous under GHS.
